We had really bad storms today for most of the day. At around 6:00 pm, the sun was trying to come out, so I asked my daughter. "Do you want to go for a walk?" We went to Sunken Meadow Park/ Beach it is on the north shore of Long Island. If you open this photo up, you will be able to see the land at the horizon, that is Connecticut, just 14 miles across the water. You can also see some people fish at the shoreline.

Must be great for fishing as there are a few out there. That's a beautiful scene with the sun trying to break though. NIce capture.

I'm glad yu went for that walk, because you brought back an exceptional sunset shot. Yep, I do believe I see a few Connecticut Yankees in the distance. LOL. Very nice work, Laura.

Is that the lifeguard perch Laura? A wonderful place for Owd Timer to get high. I can get high on the beauty of this shot. The lingering clouds and the colors with the sun shining through them are stunning. Great post.
