Postcard reads: Dear Mom&Dad (who recently pushed me out of the nest), I winged it from the nest to here for two weeks in McIndoe Falls, Vermont.... summer camp is for the birds. The accommodations are nice, the counselors lead us in all directions, the flowers are pretty and the water is great. I am learning how to bathe and groom my feathers in the crick you see behind me, but I am not adjusting well to the insect food. Mom, I miss the home regurgitated worms. No one makes them like you do. Love you. I wish you were here. Be at the end of the road in a week..I am already homesick.

Makes for a very pretty shot to go along with your story. I'll bet the parents got a bird brained idea when they sent him off to camp! C):-)

Cute little story, PJ. Maybe you should take up writing too and you can include your photos in the articles/short stories. The story is really very clever and from the post, I can't imagine why a little bird would be homesick. That looks like a gorgeous place to live and the colors of the flowers are wonderful together.
