Cydonia is a region on Mars covering some 2000 square miles and home to the famous Face of Mars formation (see if you can spot it here) as well as many other skull and pyramid type mountains.

Many of the formations unusual similarities to faces and skulls are often little more than shadow play and tricks of light, however, the High Resolution Stereo Camera on board ESA's orbiting Mars Express shows that the Face itself still has a remarkable resemblance to a human face when viewed from any angle. Spooky.

Like bcbird quite rightly pointed out, Muse have done a song called Knights of Cydonia which is great! Try and listen to it! Anyway, I never actually knew which planet Cydonia was on - I'd heard of it but thought it was maybe on Jupiter or Saturn. Nice upload, especially with the quality of the resolution. I wonder if you'd see any tripods from War of the Worlds if you look closely?
