A new image of the Victoria Crater taken with the HiRISE camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The really observant amongst you will be able to pick out the Opportunity Mars Rover, parked at the edge of the crater. It's the little blue dot to the right of the uppermost 'cape'.

Now THAT'S a photo! Cosmic in every sense of the word! It's particularily amazing when you consider everything that had to go RIGHT in order for this scene to be captured and then delivered to our screens. ULTRA-FANTASTICO!!! Thanks for sharing.

Phil, this is wonderful! plus, I found the Rover as well :=)...I love the colors that are found in this image. I wish you had been one of my teachers in school. Your visual aides are incredible as well as informative! :)
