This was taken on Color Sunday on the Grand Mesa a couple of years ago. I especially like the lake in the background. Comments, are welcome and thanks for all of them
Steve
It's a beautiful sight, Steve. I cropped out the sky, added some contrast and saturation, and the colour really stands out.And the lake becomes much more of a focal point. What a great spot. All those hardwoods, amongst the evergreens.
You'll be surprised at the separation of colours, a bit of contrast, makes. Be happy to send you my interpretation, if you're interested. ----
Beautiful capture! The lake serves especially well for a focal point, as snapshooter mentions above. Hope you'll ask to see what Doug can do about the slight haze. Well done!
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Color Sunday is a very good name as your photograph is so colourful Steve! It must have been amazing to see such a panoramic view in such vivid yellows. Patti
