This squirrel appears to be giving itself a manicure. It was from a distance of about 30 feet using a 500mm lens. Bob

I think you're right about the manicure. It's probably sharpening the claws to chase the youngun's around. Good clear photo Bob.

I'd say he's sizing you up, Robert. lol These fellows seem to be at some height of activity. I see them all over the place and often times scare them from the bird feeders, but only for a few minutes. lol

Brilliant shot, and it looks like a red Squirrel, which we used to see much more her in Connecticut......I love them, they have so much more personality and spunk than the common greys...regards- Greg
