This one was one of the most challenging edits I have done to date. There were so many issues with this I was sure I would not get it right.
A not talking about the framing (I like that as is) but with the woman
see was damaged in so many ways if you enlarge the original B&W it becomes apparent but did the graft (about 13 hours.. normale is on average 3-6 hours) I am pleased with the outcome enjoy.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

You really worked hard on this image and it shows Rob - the flesh tones, makeup and her dress is simply wonderful - I'm certain Ms. Doe would be quite taken how you transformed her portrait into just the right colorization - Excellent Work!!!:-):-):-)

While it's obvious the silver nitrate is breaking down, probably from an invading element, since it's so localized instead of widespread (if it was widespread it would make the entire image appear solarized), it almost appears as if she's peering at us around the side of some abstract sculpture of black glass. As always, excellent work, Rob.

Your work is outstanding - and your efforts on this one really paid off - she is very appealing in her lilac gown.
It strikes me that only beautiful women had their photo portraits done in days gone by - or were they all beautiful ? Certainly they all have wonderful glossy and abundant hair and perfect complexions. Maybe because they relied on plain old soap and water in those days !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
