What did she see, with those beautiful big eyes? What may she be waiting for? She exudes strength and courage. She looks wise way beyond her years. She is but a child. I hope she had a wonderful life.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I have to say, Rob, that I find that in this one case, the colorizing seems to have had an undue effect on the image, that of placing a milky film over it that washes out her features a little. I mean, I can still see the silhouette of the photographer in her eyes, outlined by a white sky and clear horizon line, but it's much crisper in the black & white version. Adjusting a copy in Photoshop's Levels helped a little but really only made it darker. In fact, I tried about six different tools and methods and I couldn't get through that milk.

Hi Nik

In answer to: Nik... I can still see the silhouette of the photographer in her eyes, outlined by a white sky and clear horizon line, but it's much crisper in the black & white version. Adjusting a copy in Photoshop's Levels helped a little but really only made it darker.

First of all thank you for your honest comment as its always been my goal not to wash out more pixels than needed must say it was not necessary could have keep the eyes clear even with colorization huuummppff...and for sure 9 out of 10 times its the eyes that make the picture so its me being lazy again. This image was made in 3 layers to do it right should be about 7-9. As I usually am working on about 6-10
images at a time, I wanted to call this one done so kinda lost focus. That said I am also like a kid in a candy store there are so many images out there that I want to colorize the next one is always better than those I am working on.

Nik...In fact, I tried about six different tools and methods and I couldn't get through that milk...

Well Nik this is a kind of defence for me have had so many people try to pass of my work as there own and have been ripped some many times that it's really starting to annoy me. Everyone is free to use my work just let me know. So made my day when you said ...I couldn't get through that milk...and not for you Nik as for sure I know your motives
are all good. But for the people who want to make some colors adjustments and pasof my work as there's it's not going to happen. Just to give you an idea think that I have seen somewhere about 100 hundred pictures by me with someone else's name on them and not even talking about the posting without creds to me.

It's really easy as I save all my work in layers if someone would mail me and give me credits I can with one click remove the milk so thanks for the idea Nik so will change my statement from....I claim no rights other than colorizing this image if you wish to use let me know (have to think on this....or use color file ?)....

As always Nik much appreciate your honest comments adds to my respect towards you.

Footnote:
...But for the people who want to make some colors adjustments and pasof my work as there's it's not going to happen...

I used to sign my images as Trash Art stopped doing that a long time ago didn't like the logo so in a separate layer I make an adjustment of about 24 pixels wich I can overlay on any image that I think is mijn
is almost impossible to detect if you don't know what you're looking for. And have had images removed but stopped doing that to much work.
