Rob, I was searching on the net, in particular the Brady-Handy Collection to know more about the actress Miss A.J. Evans, but the only thing that I could find, according to your narrative, was that her portrait probably was sold in 1954 by Alice H. Cox and Mary H. Evans to the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division Washington, D.C. 20540 USA.
Makes me curious why you've chosen this portrait for colorization. Done perfectly however (per usual), but it has enhanced my intriguing feeling about it, 😁 !
Very good work anyhow, my friend, 👍 !

I found The Pilgrim and she played the role of a congregation member.
Found SEA's comments very interesting and yours as well Rob.
My eye was drawn to the Cameo Brooch. It really stands out. To me you have added just enough color to enhance the black and white.
The black and white is more distinct as well. You have also removed the artifacts/spots to make it more enjoyable.
Well done.
