This is a beautiful scene from the front yard of the Prophet's mosque situated in Madeena. This mosque is considered the second holiest site in Islam by Muslims.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
Sayed dear, Many thanks and congratulations on this charming, artistic and most interesting image. Thanks once again, dear friend, and please MORE MORE MORE !!! Yours SAM
These inverted "umbrellas" are ingenious and beautiful as well. I can also see fans to move the air under the canopies but I'm a bit puzzled that I see very few sunlit stripes on the floor from the gaps in the canopies. Perhaps your position is such that most of them are blocked? What ever the case this is a most interesting view of a part of the Arab world that many of us westerners normally wouldn't see. I also can appreciate how you've controlled the light contrast in not allowing the light or shadow to overpower the other, a very good balance letting us see every nook and cranny in the hsot. Great composition, light, DOF... everything. Thanks for the culture lesson. Saved, faved, and would have nominated it except I see it already has been.
