It is never good to have your roots ripped out from underneath you Sean. Luckily there is generally a new seed to take the place of the fallen. It is the way of life. Good thought provoking post.

Interesting shot! If you could bring the contrast out a bit, and we could see the twist of roots even better, it would be even better, but It's a very unique and intersting shot non-the-less.
