I don't know for sure, why that one eye is so dark. I'm guessing it's an out of focus reflection from the huge pine tree trunk, just out of sight, on that side.Got more worms from my local bait shop, and he's eating raw beef as well. Don't know how much water he is getting, as he spills most of it, so I'm using an ear syringe, which he is getting used to. Made him a good thick nest of pine needles, in a large Printer box, and inserted a number ir garden stakes through the sides. He seems to like that, as he managed to get up to them , and sits or stands there, watching the world go by. I think he'll be fine. All I have to do is learn to fly, so I can teach him.

Well Doug, It appears that you are settling right into Motherhood...that will be challenge , down the road, teaching him to fly...gerry..

Wow, that eye does look pretty strange. But he is a cute little guy anyway. Don't get too attached, Doug. You're going to have to let him go after you teach him to fly--boy would I like to watch that. LOL

Doug, I have not had alot of time to comment on images lately but have seen your other images of this little fella' as well and first off want to commend you on your caring for this little guy...as an animal lover it means alot to me that someone stops to help where so many others wouldn't...also glad to hear he is apparently doing well and wish you all the best in whatever steps you continue to take on his behalf...on another note, I have really enjoyed your captures and updates, all being well done, and thank you for sharing them and his story.:Pat.
