I'm still Sane. For all you non believers, here is the same Lilly I posted yesterday, and the colour it was when I shot it. How it turned to lavender, inside the camera I used yesterday is beyond me. Today, I used a Canon 20D, 18 - 55mm lens, and the Lilly is still Brownish, as far as I know. How it gets to you, is anybody's guess, but there was no manipulation of either shot. Anyone having a camera that prefers it's own colour selection, I'd be happy to hear from you. lol.

On my screen Doug it has a deep red color to it. The spent one behind it has a brownish color .Do you think it may have been the lighting at the time that would have caused the coloring of the other? Either way, they both turned out showing pretty colors.

OK ... Guilty as charged ... a non-believer (*hangs head in shame*) This is certainly an odd color (dark brown on my screen) for a Lily in my experience. This one looks as though it was shot without flash. Can't imagine the flash making that great a difference in the color though. Anyway we get to see two nice shots of this Lily... Gremlins it has to be gremlins:o)

A great capture Doug ... I love the true deep red color here. It does have a brownish tint to it also. It's anybody's guess what happened with the first one. Anyways you got two gorgeous images of the same flower ... different but yet pretty in their own way. Very nice work & NO you are not going insane. LOL!!!!

That's amazing Doug. I had to go back and look at yesterday's and it's def a light lavender. This one is what my mom would call 'blood red'. It's a beautiful deep and dark color and looks terrific on full screen. Well done my friend. Anita

It's a rusty red color. Pretty both ways. I think that's cool.

I'ts not gremlins. I think it's a mood flower. Like a mood ring, only prettier. Maybe when you were doing your Captian Morgan impersonation you were in a better mood, lol! That would explain the color change;)

I really like the reddness of this lily and how it has all the beads of water sitting on its petals. This Lily looks great against the green that is in the background. Great photograph you have taken.

Doug, the sunlight can do that to your flowers! I have experienced that myself. Taking pictures of the same flower at different times of day, getting different colours all together, it seems strange but...

This is good Doug...can you not get different shade of color if you use different controls on camera i.e. by changing aperture, white balance, etc.....i experimented with this on one of my red roses and got quite dramatic change in color...gerry..

Lovely shot, Doug! I had a Kodak camera before my Canon and I remember a violet petunia I shot. When I saw it on screen It was a royal blue! Go figure. If this is not the natural color, I'm enjoying it anyway.

This is hard to believe that it is the same flower. Both look great, but that is so weird how the color changed on you. Some things I guess can't be explained.
