My first entry into the 'numbers' contest... I got the black stone on a beach on the west coast of Ireland many years ago; the white stone and piece of clam shell wampum both come from cape cod...

A very well composed closeup shot. I like the textures and also the diagonal lines in the background. A great entry for the contest. Good Luck!

Very good use of light especially on the black stone and the smoothness of the stones is contrasted wonderfully with the ridged textures of the sand.

The colors and light are so nice, but that wavy sand really catches my eye. Great entry to the numbers project!

Good contest entry HF. I like the intermingling of colors. Intergrated rocks. Gotta love it.

Mary, you sure got my heart on this posting. I love all things from the sea...after all, they are treasures to us all. I love how the grains of sand show up here too. Very very nice. Gosh, the piece of clam shell is so pretty. Ours here don't have colours like that. Nicely done photography my friend. Verena
