One of the pluses about hot, humid, hazy (and lazy and crazy) august dog days is a red-orange-yellow sun that appears to hang in the sky like an immense mandala... (sesuit harbor jetty, cape cod, massachusetts)

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
Mary - Yesterday, we were in Barnstable, as a good friend was a principal in the Cape Cod Opera's production. After dinner, as we were on Rt 6, the sun was a large orange orb about forty minutes from setting. I was unable to get to the Bay for a photo, and hoped that you would. Thank you!

I really like the strip of beach with the silhouettes HF. I like the water in the foreground and the silhouette of the boat in the background. You are so good at these. (I always say that) I guess because it is true. Beautiful sky and sun. A perfect 10.
