this seagull was frustrated because I was standing on the small bridge he likes to drop clams on... he made a couple of fly-by's to check me out, then flew away in search of an alternative hard surface for clam-breaking... I'm grateful he didn't drop it, or something worse, on my head....

So very clear HF. The contrasts are outstanding.

A breathtaking capture Mary! I got the tingles when I viewed this full screen. Outstanding focus on the bird and its clams...lol

Wonderful capture. I like how the sun is highlighting its chest and wings. Great in flight capture.

I would love to see him break the shell. I have never seen a bird do that. Excellent photo, Mary.

See... most seagulls would just see that as a challenge :P

Even though I'm scared of seagulls (such angry birds!), even I gotta admit, it's a beautiful bird, and this especially is the perfect shot :)

Sorry it's been so long since I last commented, but it's good to see you're still hard at work being awesome :D

We as artists look upon the world in many different languages. There are those of us who see sadness, pain, suffering. But if we do not occasionally look and see that there is love and laughter, what's the point of looking at all?

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
