During the development and creation of this fractal, I was thinking on Stan's rose images. Therefore, I dedicate this to Stan the Roseman :) If you haven't done so already, I recommend checking out his gallery for some outstanding rose images! Thanks for looking my friends! Comments and critiques are always welcome. ~Lori

Totally outstanding, Lori! It looks like it is coming right out of my monitor! What a beautiful creation. You did some really fine work on this. I wish I could watch you as you do this. Stan has a magnificent collection of very fine roses and this does indeed make one think of roses. Faved.

And here's another style I haven't seen from you before, Chicago. The 3D on this marble certainly works for me. It sort of reminds me of the deep-sea aliens in the movie, "The Abyss" -- a being of energy wrapped within an organic and transparent motorized shell. I'd like to see you create one like this with your hand holding the marble (a marble the size of a softball) and a faint reflection of your face and arm in the face of the marble, wrapped around its curving surface. Have you ever seen M.C. Escher's self portrait in a gazing ball? That's what I mean. That would be too cool for color TV (quote fr. "Steel Magnolias").

huh, pretty. But I like most is the detail-work on the perimeter; made me think of filligree.

An inspiring creation Lori ... love the 3D appearance of the orb (marble) as well as the subtle shine to the colors. The smokey gray background sets it off nicely. Fantastic work.
