You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I'm 17 and don't travel much. But I tend to bring my camera around just to catch what sticks out from my everyday goings. (pardon me if I speak my mind)

You created a horizontal "V" with the visual elements in this image. The horizon and the shoreline converge to the left which happens to be the direction of movement of the subject (I think). The fact that the subject is walking into the small end of the arrow subtelly emphasizes his movement, and is quite effective.
Your placement of the subject at the 1/3 point is very professional, and the texture of the sand is superb. Then there are the colors. My! The silhouette of the subject creates an air of mystery and makes him an "anybody" person - you or me. This image is underrated in my opinion. You relaly did a masterful job on it.
