Ted, I think there isn't any problem with your focus, because certain parts of your splendid roses photograph are very sharp. Minor areas have the appearance of a slightly 'blur', but I think it's bokeh that is mistaken by blur.
Anyhow a wonderful picture of these 'floral queens'!
