Captured this Red Bellied Woodpecker this morning in the lilac bush.

Same lens and converter combo with the lens against the glass of the closed window.

I did some serious cropping on this one, and tried to make it larger for the screen.

I did not do any color saturation, just gamma and shadow adjustments.

Thanks for your comments, and have a good day, it's a lovely day out today, but the wind makes it chilly, and i is supposed to change overnight. :)

Beautiful image of the bird sitting there in the sun to get warmed up. Good clarity too Sandi.

We must be in the same weather pattern, Tigz. Your woodpecker seems to be enjoying the morning light while doing his normal pecking. I like the light and shadows.

Beautiful job, Tigs. Added to my collection. Have you considered using a watermark on your photos? I don't think rippers pay attention to your narrative when they rip.

I had one of these woodpecker's in my lilac tree the other day, but by the time I grabbed my camera it flew off to the apple tree. I had to walk fifty yards to click off a few shots. I like the warm lighting on the bird ... nice detail too. Superbly captured Sandi.

Another well done window shot, I don't blame you for shooting indoors very cold here also almost unbearable with the wind. Earlier in the week we had a tease of sixty degrees.
