I think the look on this tiger's face says all to well that they are wild animals, and should not be kept as pets.

The EFRC owner, and keepers travel all around the USA to rescue these beautiful animals, that end up in some very bad conditions.

Left neglected in some cases in small cages that they can't even turn around in. They had a lion that had such bad conditions, that he fecal matter was stuck in his huge mane, and they were letting it work itself out through weather and his preening. They thought it best to let it take care of itself for the safety of all.

The people involved with the center are truly dedicated, and hard working people, who share a love and caring nature for the exotic cats. It is sad to hear the stories but most heart warming when you see how the cats have come to a safe refuge, where they can live out the rest of their years safely.

Used the canon 70-200 f/4L lens and shot through chain link fencing.

The eyes look great so the fence didn't affect them Tigz. You are a true cat lover and they should let you in for free for all the good you do for them.

So beautiful Sandi and impressive. I am glad to hear there are people around who care about these animals and take care of them. They are an endangered species. Great shot!

I don't think he is a happy kitty. But, his life is much better here than what could have been. Good commentary.

He looks older to me and somewhat weary - good image and I'm very glad he has a safe place to live.

Would not want to mess with combing a tiger's hair. You'd have to be a little crazy and I think they did the right thing. Beautiful shot, Tigs.

This tiger looks like he has seen a lot in life and not all pleasant. I agree with you I don't believe any wild animals should be kept as pets.
I saw a TV show about owners of Pythons when they got too big and just released them they have invaded the Everglades, where they flourish in warm, wet habitat that has an abundant buffet of native species to feast on.

Keep up the good work with wild cats Sandi and giving them a better life!
