While out at a local lake I captured this laid back bird, he did not seem too concerned about me.

I would have like to compose this one diffently but I had to crop off the side he was looking at, it would have been alot of cloning, and I guess I was kind of lazy.

Thanks goes out to Tick for the actual naming of this blackbird.

Thank you for commenting.

It looks like a male Brewer's Blackbird Tigz. You got a good shot to show the colors.

This has a blue neck too - different from the ones we have here. Nice shot Sandi. They are in search of partners and so don't care much about humans approaching them.

I would have thought it would be called a Blue Head Blackbird. Beautiful shot of it Sandi. Super detail on the birdie.

The shade of blue on his head is unusual and its eyes are jsut freaky.

I sure love it's blue head & the tiny purple / blue flowers compliment the bird nicely. Superbly captured, Sandi.

Another fine shot Lady S. I have to disagree with Sir Tick though. The head and body color are switched for that blackbird. Looks more like a Starling to me and my birdwatchers guidebook.
