On my way to the flower show, I could see lots of swans in the river that runs along the main road, you can see the river between the houses.

I could see that there were alot, and they would be up close for some pics. so of course I stopped at that Dam Pond.

I took this one just after I took my "Dam Pond Duck" Capture.

The swans are some of my favorite water birds, they are so graceful in the water, but kind of clumsy looking out of water. :) I was suprised to see kids and some adults trying to get close to them, and tossing tidbits to them, but the swans showed no sign of aggression, perhaps they are used to people, this place always has a good number of swans, but I have never seen them that up close before around people.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Aside from the crisp focus and splendid details, I love the way you cropped this one to enhance the ripples. Excellent job.

Sandi, I do suppose that if you, on your way to a flower show, would see many ducks and swans along the road, you would never be in time there to capture any flower, lol.

Splendid post however!

Not much to dislike about this one, Sandi - the details on the swan are excellent and the waters are wonderful. I also like the crop job on this - it really makes it stand out. We seem to have used the same title for our images - here is my natural grace
