I was so thrilled that I spotted this blue heron today at the drive into shock lake.

Used the canon 70-200 with the kenko 1.4x converter with it resting on my arm out the car window. Usually they fly off right away, but I got lucky this time.

This has been croppped for composition, and I did try to size it the best I could, and still have it look decent.

Thank you for commenting, I know I'll be busy at work still, but I'm pretty faithful to my friends here on Caedes, and plan on keeping up with the comments, and maybe posting.

Tigs♥ =^..^=

I need to get me one of those tele-conveters before deer season Tigz. I can imagine how excited you were and for good reason.
Excellent post.

I never get very close to them without them taking off. I get thrilled when I see one just standing there, too. This is fantastic, Sandi. I like the bird way off to the right too. It really makes the shot interesting!

The blue Heron is one of the pretties birds I know of and you did it real justice Tiggs. The croping you did made it perfect.

Last week when I was sunbathing on the beach, there was a Heron taking a footbath in the salty sea!! And I hated it that I didn't had my camera with me, cause he was this > < close away from me.

But luckily you did had your camera with you and captured this beauty for us, well done :o)

Good focus on the heron and a good capture Sandi, considering the circumstances.

Why Sandi, because it was expecting you, else it has flown away, lol.

Very fine post.
