Love the way you captured the swan with that beautiful curve in it's neck and as for B&W it give nice sharp detail and some lovely textures too.

Beautiful shot and perfect depth, Sandi. While it's always personal preference, I think it might be even better.
Crop the body/back from the the bottom, then the same amount from the top, and lose the frame entirely. That totally eliminates the only distractions, while the head and neck appear slightly larger and completely dominates everything.
