By looking at those clouds, I thought I would drive down to this lake and check it out for a possible photo opt. I'm glad I did. :)

I used the Nikon with the 18-55 VR Nikkor lens, I had not changed the settings from when Harry used it, this was my first time out with it.

Thank you for commenting.

I kinda like the Nikon a wee bit more than a Canon..(Just a personal choice)...Some great details in this sweetheart!...That sky is a blast of drama which hits my eyes

I think the Nikon 90D out performs the Canon 40D, Tigz. Both are classic cameras. It is all about the lens anyway.
Harry would be proud.

Yes, both cameras must be very good. Mine is Canon PowerShot A470. Very handy idiotenkamera as the German friends call them LOL
Great reflections, razor sharp and actually striking. ditto ditto and hooray !!! 5 times cheers for Sandi SAS.
All depends on the object and the artist. Look at my agent SAAB for instance on his last portrait - posted today. Product placement. LOL

Great shot - I've been taking double shots a lot this fall comparing the Canon shot directly to the same Nikon shot. I've found I'm generally preferring the Nikon which is surprising to
me.

Love the sky, love the reflection, love the almost silhouette-like trees. You've given full justice to the Nikon.

Nice shooting with the Nikon Sandi. I can't help but admire the camera since I own one so similar. I find as TicK says it is a lot about the lens but I've seen masters take what I considered a useless camera and make amazing works. Add a little know how and a good camera and wow.
