My Friday foofy:That one petal that has a folded look about it, is what it is. I tried many times to do some cloning, but failed. I finally decided it gave this bloom some character. :)

We are starting to get some very cold weather here, and more snow in the forecast, for those in the path of that cold front, be careful.

I spent an hour and a half yesterday clearing the driveway of 7 inches of snow with the snow shovel. Now we are due for more, yippie! Not!! If we get that much again, I will let the plow service have at it, I guess I was getting cabin fever.

Thank you for commenting.

This looks beautiful with the black background. MANY years ago I had the displeasure of visiting The Great Lakes Recruit Training Center for Navy bootcamp. Submarine watch, from atop a dumpster in the type of weather you're having is one of my fondest memories (not!) Stay warm Sandi!

We are always next in line for the storms and weather you experience. Winter is not my favorite season. lol. If cabin fever helps you create pictures like this one, then maybe it is a good thing! Incredible picture, Sandi.

I love this photo Sandi, I like the light and shade and the colours in the centre of the flower. It is beautiful.Plus having the background totally black helps the flower to stand out in this shot ,plus flowers are very rarely perfect so I say leave in the photo it's small defaults because that is what the flower is and we don't need to play with nature .So well done to a really lovely looking photo!

I think "it is what it is" is a good philosophy for un-coperative flowers Sandi! this is nice with the darker background. You'll see my weather report on my post for today.

I agree the folds add to its beauty, Tigz.

They say shoveling snow is bad for old guys like me. I will bring you some hot cocoa while you are shoveling if that helps. :)

A beautiful shot...but...chromatic aberration on the petal edges. If you use Lightroom it's an easy fix. Can also be done in Photoshop. I encountered this frequently before Lightroom 4. Other than that it's an awesome shot.

If it's the petal I think you're talking about, that's a relatively easy clone job. If it's still giving you problem in a week I know a gardener who'll come and clip it off for a modest fee. :)

A good close up on this lovely bloom, Sandi. Great colours and post work on the image.
