You always keep your promise Sandi. I told you before that I prefer the initial image, posted a few days ago. In my opinion: after your rework it meets even better the contest topic, but I respect fully your choice for another entry for the 'Shadows' contest. Excellent image anyhow!

There's usually pros and cons with any decision Tigz. This entry has a strong constructional element which is enjoyable especially for males. However Shadow Play has a strong natural quality which is equally enjoyable by both gender. Either way shadows are prominent in both uploads, pay attention to the posted comments but follow your heart. (o:
You have a big decision to make, Sandi. I would be hard pressed to say which I like better. The one with the tree shadows on the snow is gorgeous, and your rework of the bridge is just as gorgeous. Good luck with your choice, and in the contest.
I find this excellent with deep shadows but I am so fond of the other post with it's beautifully intricate shadows that I would choose it. But you need to follow your gut instinct Sandi or as they say also your first mind.
I really like the distinct shadows that are cast by the bridge and that fully meets with the shadow requirements. I am hard pressed to choose though because of the artistic quality of the other image with a softer shadow. The bridge photo has more available light whereas the landscape photo is really dark in the sky but that is a matter of personal taste. You have a hard choice Sandy. Good luck.:)
Being a lover of bridges, I will let you guess which one I prefer Tigz. I like the tones in both, but there is nothing like fishing from an old bridge. Good luck with your choice and either one is a winner.
hmmm, it's a tough call SAS...both images have their merits with some very fine shadows and rich tones...I like them both...however, and I hope this doesn't confuse the issue too much...IF there was no shadows contest and you were just asking which image I liked best I would probably say the bridge image for all the interesting lines and POV...but since the focus of the contest is about shadows I think I would go with the tree shadows...in that one part of the appeal is what you don't see...that being the trees that are casting those long intricate shadows on the ground, and with fewer elements in the image to distract, the focus is automatically on the shadows...I also find the shadows themselves more interesting in the tree photo....hope that makes some sense...but in the end go with your gut...I don't always make the right choice where my own entries are concerned...whatever your choice, best of luck.
wow this is a tough call Tigs...tougher then some i have given you..lol! im going to say...BRIDGE! then again, i have never won a contest yet, maybe you better go with your gut feeling on this one. hey whats the worest that can happen? not like your going to burn down any bridges either way :)
I really like the bridge one best Sandi and think that one better for the contest. The bridge shadows just seem more interesting to me. Good Luck with whichever one You choose.
Glad to see the bridge is back in place and I don't have to take that 23 mile detour anymore to get from one side to the other. A great play of shadows in the image and nice perspective in the scene.
Good luck whichever you decide!.............
