Took this one yesterday at Defries Garden. I used a converter with the 70-200mm for this one.

I did crop this a fair amount, and did just a few slider adjustments in the NX 2 software, and changed the format from RAW to Png, and resized it.

I would have liked it even more if I could have seen his eyes, but in the position he was in, it was not to be.

Thank you for commenting, I also appreciate reading what you think.

Nice and clear shot of the cardinal in his full glory. Good one Sandi.

Great color in this Sandi and a tighter crop would make him more prominent though still no eyes due to position.

Gibbs knows me pretty well Tigz. I am watching the Cardinals playing the Red Sox as I type this.
I always look forward to a photo of a Cardinal. It is difficult to see their eyes even when the pose is right. The black on the head hides the eyes.
Good one and it won't be long before the games are official.

---I would have liked it even more if I could have seen his eyes---

Sandi, thought to see at full screen size that it was wearing his sunglasses, or was it just the black on his head, LOL! I was just kidding. I realize however very well that difficult circumstances can prevent the desired optimal result. Still a very good capture, my friend.

This is a very good shot of the cardinal Tigs - I like the way the branches on the right act as a frame - Great Capture!!!:-):-):-)!!!

Still a nice shot with fine color. I know , (learned) , that if there are a things like the branches close to and in front of the subject , the camera will focus in on them unless the settings are perfect for the distance etc.
