Sandi, in my country this flower is mostly called Montbretia. They grow from basal underground corms. I had them in my garden, but that - in spite of their beauty - wasn't a success. Because they develop corms in vertical chains that interferes with the the surrounding other plants, so being invasive and difficult to control in a garden. A wonderful capture however. A perfect Foofy Friday (F²) contribution.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
