A beautiful lake and sky but what impressed me is the amount of smooth rounded stones of different colors and sizes. They came most probably from some dry river bed where they had been smoothed and shaped by the flowing water during billion/s of years.
Someone took the time to stack/balance some rocks Tigz. I'm sure there is a meaning to this. Great shot of the driftwood and it does appear to be a rugged area. I bet the winds get harsh and the weather cold at times. Wonderful composition.
Sandi, your title says Whitfish Point, but I think it's a typing error. It probably shall be Whitefish Point. I've searched for some information on the net as well, and have read that Whitefish Point is known for the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, its Lake Superior shoreline, the Whitefish Point Lighthouse and as a prime birding area. I suppose that you aren't amazed that I came on THIS SITE, 😁 ! Very interesting matter, and that is valid for your photograph as well.
