It looks like some of the farms around here with the same cows and everything. You sure you didn't vacation here in Alabama? I really like it!!! Good one Sandi!
That has to be the widest stretch of unsupported wire fence I have ever seen. In the rural parts of my state (the nearest is about two miles away from my house), I would see two to three fence posts in here. The fence supports around this field must be extra-strength and oversized, and the wire thicker and pulled tighter. Other than that the scene is very bucolic, redolent of the feeling of a calm and easygoing summer day, and reminiscent for anyone who has worked with or lived around cattle. Personally, I was a farmhand for six years as a youth and young man, so experience with cattle is deeply embedded in my memory and my sinuses. It is also the source of my surprise at that fence. If there is an explanation for the lack of fence posts, I would love to hear it.
