I posted this already, but don't see it, so posting again. :) This is a beautiful park that is dog friendly, they have a lodge, camping and cabins. The hiking trails can be a challenge especially for this 71 year old, but I got it done.I believe the coloring on the bank is mineral deposits. This walk was one of the easier ones, but a long one! You descend into canyons using flights of stairs, so of course when you go down, you have to go back up! Lol!

I'm busy tomorrow so might not post unless I get something edited. Life has been busy lately!

Thanks for your comments I do appreciate them.

Sandi, I can see both photographs, but since they're similar I'm only commenting on this one. If I read your description correctly, I can only conclude that, as a 71-year-old, there is nothing wrong with your physical condition. Enviable!
Thank you for this beautiful capture and it's promising for the other images probably taken on your trip. But don't hurry, my friend, 😁 !

What a scene Mother Nature created for you to find. The color green is so vivid and strong. The water and trees come in with their browns and reds. Very nice composition, Sandi.

The park looks like a lovely and serene environment - good for you girl in challenging those trails - I'm sure you'll want to revisit it again, but for now, Great Capture Tigs!!!!!!!!!!

I remember this park from my childhood Sandi - I lived in Peoria for 11 years and we would go up to Starved Rock. It's gorgeous there and your shot does it justice. (I hear you on the 71 part too!!)
