I took this yesterday afternoon on my terrace or at least the open doorway to my terrace! Despite what you see it was not snowing but the winds were 35 mph and there was stinging blowing snow in clouds in the air. This is a winter color planter outside and I used a combo setting on my Nikon for action shot with backlighting. I thought it captured the blowing snow pretty well. I swear this is my last wintery shot unless I see something extraordinary as we are all so tired of the deep freeze.

Good splash of color in the midst of blowing snow and freezing temperatures, Kathy.
It will warm up one day.

Ooooooonlyyyyyyyy you, Kathy, are capable of conquering this horrible winter with your magic spell [=skills].
Beautiful colours that raise the temps by at least 55 degrees - regardless of the scale applied [C or F] as well as our C's and mine heart beat rate. :)

This takes me back to Christmas time, for me it has that kind of feel, even though our weather was not so terrible back then. I like the color contrasts, and you caught the action very well.

Kathy, I like to agree with Sandi. At first sight I was thinking too that it was a belated Christmas card. I was frightened however after reading your narrative. You're dealing now with severe wintry conditions. That has placed however your very fine image in the right perspective. Hope for you that it soon will rain warm water (lol).

Take care. Stay safe and warm.

Regards, Cornelius.

I thought this was some snacks you left out for the wildlife and was thinking that was very thoughtful of you. But I see this is just you trying to be artful.
A fabulous winter image, Kathy. Great colours and details in the photo. Great job!
