I liked the dappled light hitting these burning bushes (Euonymus Alata Compactus). They were at their peak of color. (I threw in the Latin name because I did a project on this species in 6th grade and I've never forgotten the name!)

I love that color..a sort of a rusty red on my monitor. I have noticed a slight variation in colors on this laptop as compared to my DT. Beautiful shot of the leaves, Kathy.

Kathy, I did some 'home work' and found out that it has the common names: 'winged spindle', 'winged euonymus', 'burning bush' (similar to your title), or 'kardinaalshoed' (Dutch language which stands for (when translated) 'hat of the cardinal').

Wow, what brilliant bright colours and love the play of lighting and shadows. Yes, we have a big burning bush outside our indoor pool and the colours are so beautiful in the fall
