Well here's a cactus to suit your mood - this is a coral cactus. Very different in form and coloring than other cactus - meant to resemble sea coral.

Really thought that I know a lot of plants and flowers Kathy, but you're able to surprise me again (lol), as this cactus is new for me.
Splendid one however, and taken very well! Compliments for you my friend.

Super shot. It is a very unusual cactus with lovely colours and does indeed look like coral.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Kathy - Though it looks quite different than traditional cacti, the results of touching it seems to be the same! ;-) A nice close up - thank you for sharing.

Actually I am...feeling a little prickly...but not because of your photo..in fact I find your image quite refreshing as I have not come across this variety or color before...great post, Kathy.

Very unusual and quite interesting indeed!!! It does seem to take on a different shape from other cactus - the pink coloring is extraordinary - the coral look makes me long for the ocean more than ever!!! Good one Kathy!!!

Are you absolutely certain, Kathy dear, that the shot was taken ashore? Not underwater? Oh, yes, if you say so. :)
Fine weird coral shaped cactus. That reminds me about one cactus of mine - may be posted in April when I have that camera LOL
