This is an ornamental oregano not used for cooking. It stands about 18" tall and has beautiful clusters of these pink blooms. I didn't post yesterday as I was having a difficult day - it was 1 month since my husband died. I went and visited a garden that we used to go to - he had a comfortable bench and I took pictures. So I took some pictures and spent time with my thoughts. This garden always has interesting things as it is situated next to a large garden center/nursery/gift store. They use it as a trial garden but also have just beautiful regular plantings as well.

You have been in my prayers, Kathy.
Emotions and memories can bring both sadness and joy. Visiting places that were meaningful for you and your husband help. I am very pleased that you looked for beauty in the garden blooms.
This ornamental oregano is a lovely find.

Kathy, I think to know what you're are going through. I Wish you a lot of strength!

I've found an old (1954) Dutch song singing about the Heiderose flower.
Seems that in that time some people already were been impressed by its beauty. Think that their adoration would haven been even bigger when they could have seen your image.
