During the winter there are lots of orchids in the greenhouses - this red one caught my eye recently. It's a phalaenopsis orchid commonly known as a butterfly orchid.

Nature in all her glory is my uplift on life and so is my love of photography. sandi ♪ ♫
It's as if the orchid senses this and compensates for this lack with beautiful colors and patterns. An additional advantage is the long shelf life.
