Since June is rose month I thought I would post this one given the recent passing of the queen. This rose was developed by an American breeder in 1954 and it was the first grandiflora rose which is a cross between a hybrid tea rose and a floribunda. It has won numerous awards and at one time was considered the most popular rose in the world.

Kathy, in the past I have called roses the queens of the flower kingdom. These Grandiflora roses rightfully bear this honorable title.
