Never thought I could stop one in flight so clearly. No touch up work, this the shot.Posted it this way just because I was proud of myself.
Hope you enjoy!

Doug, I know how hard it is to get a shot of them when their flitting about. I took some today but man were they active. Of course my images are of them being kind of still or busy as you might say on a flower. This is outstanding in my book and because of the unique capture, I'm faving it. Love the colors of him/her too. Way to go and give yourself a pat on the back, If you don't I will! :)

Sorry, but I'm gonna half to go 'no' on this one mate. The comp 'n' clarity just ain't rockin' me one this one. My view comes up kind of a lack of detail and overall arrangement...again, sorry.
Not offended by anyone's view or opinion of this shot.
Remember, this is a shot done in a split second not being able to worry about composition or focus detail. To just stop one in flight is a victory for me.
So don't be sorry or afraid to say you don't care for it,it's O.K

Nice job catching this butterfly in flight ... I know how difficult that is. A little motion blur, but the colors are great. Personally I would like to see a closer crop. The main thing is you succeeded in getting this shot. I can be out chasing butterflies in motion all day & not touch the shutter button once. Very well done Doug.
