Could They be Tiny Mushrooms?

As I got out of my car today, after having spent a few hours at the Ocean, I looked down and noticed this little "plant"...but I think it is actually some kind of tiny mushrooms. Am I right or am I seeing things? Either way, I thought you all might enjoy this and be able to tell me just what they are? I took this photo with my Canon EOS Rebel and used my flash, since it was totally dark out. Please comment. I appreciate any thoughts on this.

I think you are seeing tiny mushrooms, I saw it when I used max zoom with the largest picture. It's a logical place for mushrooms too, in a damp and mossy place. Lovely picture!

Tiny mushrooms...on the ground. Tiny mushrooms...all around. (Sing to the tune of Tiny Bubbles.) LOL. Nice shot, Verena. Are they edible?

Although they are almost gone, you are right Verena as it are tiny mushrooms to me. Reading Jimbob's comment above, like to say that he seems to be hungry for 24 hours a day, lol.
Thanks for this fine post.
Regards, Cornelius.

Very interesting post Lady V. They do look like mushrooms to be as well. Great mix of color tones in this shot as well.

This is an awesome shot in my opinion. The red in the tiny mushrooms and the touch of green at the top of the cluster. Great shot taken in the dark. You've done again. Nice capture.

The mix of reddish brown fungi and green mosses works well, V. Those branches provide some nice diagonals.
