I was actually taking a slow drive along the beach, and this little doggie caught my eye, he looked so sweet sitting there, watching over things and then I realized his 'owners' were on the other side of that huge piece of driftwood! It just felt like a really nice 'family photo.' :) It was a nice day, a bit windy, but not too bad. Nothin' quite like the sand, surf and the sea! I didn't want to come home at all. But I'll go back as soon as possible I'm sure!

He reminds me of my dog. He looks a friendly sort. Very nice shot from your visit to the ocean, Verena.

Loyalty is so very hard to find these days. You have captured a perfect example of it. Nice work Lady V!

Very nice shot of the beach and family and the dog sitting guard. I like just the right amount of colors. You could see it was a little breezy, but pleasant at the same time. Nice work.

Now that is a huge piece of driftwood. I wonder what they were doing on the other side X. Good shot of the beach and water. The dog adds atmosphere. Good post.

Too precious...he's keeping an eye on you. Very interesting and moody capture....the dog really adds to this a lot.

That's is one really big piece of tree there, looks like it was burnt. It sure would be a great seat back for sitting on the sand. I don't blame you for not wanting go head home. He sure is watching you.

I like beach shots as you know Verena, and driftwood can look great. Did you do selective colour on this or is it just the way it came out? Either way it's a nice shot with lots of atmosphere.
