Must be awful strong to hang off the side like that. Guess it helps to have the extra feet. Like the soft b/g, really makes this pop. Very nice composition as well. Thanks
Maybe you are now the right age. lol Lovely capture of this butterfly from a unique perspective. It has a fairy like appearance. I see you have a butterfly bush too. Maybe they draw near to thank you for being so thoughtful.
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

First time they came to you? Well they came in droves Hilda!! I guess the word got round - come to this garden, get a great portrait of yourself taken and become a star! Another star performer here, the angle makes it look soooo delicately poised.
A wonderful perspective, Hilda. The bend of the flower and the butterfy's graceful extention makes for a beautiful shot. Congrats on getting them to come to your garden.
Interesting to see the weight of this butterfly...just enough to bed the tip of the flower! Nice composition, dof, clarity. I don't see how you could possibly improve on this shot!
*Smiles* I'm glad to see your work so well appreciated, my good friend.
Your diligence in planting the butterfly garden was more than amply rewarded. I love the light shining through the butterfly's wings, how it glows and becomes a soft beauty in contrast to the ultra sharp legs, proboscis and antenna of the insect...not to mention the great focus on the flower.
Well done, Hilda. I'm so glad you decided to post it.
