Taken at the DC Caedes get-together near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There was an amphitheater for performing and this group was getting ready to go on. Edit: He's a Rebel works whether they're Yankees or Rebels, right? Just a play on words.

Oh yikes! My first thought was, But they're all so young! lol, I think... The bright white of the amphitheatre makes a great backdrop for the colorful Yankee soldier outfits they're wearing.

I think you scared the one soldier Hilda. The click of the camera made him think someone was loading up to let fire! Nice shot.

Perfect moment, Hilda! I missed this unfortunately. Such vibrant color against the white pillars. The perspective with the size of the soldiers diminishing is good too. A really fine shot.

These guys are Yanks, Hilda... Confederate Grey and Yankee Blue and all that. :) But they're great to participate in reenactments... so everyone can get a glimmer of what it was really like back then. (Hint: The uniforms weren't so clean back then.) Interesting shot, and I enjoyed seeing the "Rebel" breaking the uniformity of the line!

Hilda your timing as always is perfection. I love this shot and it makes it so much more special to have that one person looking the other way. This really reminds me of the work of a famous photographer but i cant think of his/her name!!! Only that this strikes me as the kind of picture that goes down in history as being one of the great works of art. I really do think there is something very special about this!

Yes it does work either way Hilda. I like the moment you caught here, the pattern being interrupted by the guy turning round. I wish he was looking at the camera though! I wonder what this would look like in BW? Very well-spotted here.
