Gentle Persuasion Uploaded: 10/25/10 7:44 PM GMT

Image: Gentle Persuasion

I was returning from my Grandson's flag football game yesterday when I saw a scene I thought looked interesting. There was a grove of trees with their fall coloring, a field of green winter wheat and a clouded sky with sun rays fighting their way through. I stopped and got set to take the photo when this buggy with the two Amish boys popped up from over the rise. I was so surprised, I almost forgot to take a photo. I only got one. We traded greetings and they were gone. Enjoy.

Thanks for commenting on my Pelican picture, as for the Sigma 150-600 I found it used at the local camera shop last fall and only started using it. Its heavy but seems to shoot well on both my crop and full frame Canon bodies.

Yea Ron I was shooting just below Saylorville Dam on the Des Moines river. The lake was at flood stage and they had the gate wide open letting water out. It makes for a lot of foam on the water but that is where the birds are fishing.

Thanks Ron
I'm still testing it out on both full frame and crop body cameras and have even tried using a 1.4x converter with it. The image quality with the converter isn't to bad but the autofocus hunts a lot especially on my crop body. I will post a picture I shot with the converter using the Canon 7dII that gives a field of view of 1,344mm.

If I remember correctly I used a Canon 100-400mm zoom with the 1.4x converter and a flash for that capture.

Hello Ron, thanks for your support on Sculpture... I am not certain why so many ancient sculptures have been damaged... heads, arms, legs, etc. Some may be from where they were located and withstood damage from their location, or again, sadly, when Greece was invaded in the past, there was damage from the invaders. Sad, but again, there is so much we have been able to view and appreciate.

Hi Tick,

Macedonia and Albania have parts of the Lake Ohrid, but the Macedonian part is much bigger. We enter in Albania via Saint Naum and to the first village, Tushemisht are only 8 kilometers. The other way is via Struga, the other side, which is 22 kilometers to the first village Lin. My first photo was in Saint Naum, and this one is in Albania before Lin. I hope you understood me.
