2nd place
Eubeen: Congrats on your placement in the contest.
A good capture of the smith and all his tools and a great use of selective colouring in the scene. Was he making you a new set of clubs while you wait?
cynlee: Good one. I like the black because it reminds me of blacksmiths and the dust and dirt of their fires and I like that you left the coals hot. Good luck.

3rd place J_E_F: Well done! Good result.
Logun7: Congratulations Russ on a well deserved win! I thought it was good enough for first place:) I've not been on here in a few days, but I'm back now lol!
Chipola1972: Wonderful image. It shows the complexity of early machine shops that had to use an overhead pulley system to power machines, before electric motors. If I may, I will use this image in my high school classes when I discuss the industrial revolution. This image shows early working conditions and will serve as an excellent counterpoint to images of more modern factories.

J_E_F: I think the post treatment of this was very effective.
accidental: Superb image, and I too agree it is contest worthy! What I think really makes the image are the glimpses of hand tools you left in the background, not enough to distract, but enough to evoke a feeling of times gone by. Focus and composition are perfect!
5th place Tedi: Wow! Magnificent painting, wonderful and so rich with so many subjects. This is real winner for me. Great idea presenting it, Milka.
LynEve: Congratulations Milka, on your contest placement..
This is a beautiful and very fascinating image.
