rvdb: Got my fave and vote in the contest Tick.

Rob

biffobear: A good entry too..I like the selective colour..Sets it off....R.

sean_pm: like that you left fire glowing

LakeMichigan:
I think it's an excellent capture and contest entry . Great tones and I also like the fact that you left the fire intact.
I love the narrative , I hope he doesn't lose his job and you are faced with pulling the entry. I'd think tho... with the price of fuel in our country he'd be busy keeping the original horse power on the road . Good Luck in the contest !

stonewolff: An excellent photo filled with detail and texture. It is hard to get a way from; there is so much to see and the composition 'pulls' one's view inward...very nice.

ryzst: Thank you both. I really appreciate it.

It's interesting what catches people's attention. I never would have thought to post this without the contest and it seems to be moderately popular. Guess there's a need for history after all.

J_E_F: I think the post treatment of this was very effective.

Starry173: Wonderful closeup - fascinating.
Tom

Jhihmoac: Nice one...BOL in the contest...

accidental: Superb image, and I too agree it is contest worthy! What I think really makes the image are the glimpses of hand tools you left in the background, not enough to distract, but enough to evoke a feeling of times gone by. Focus and composition are perfect!

Excellent entry !

gizmo1: Stunning piece of art work and my favorite colours blue.I love the detail you captured in this photo and what a beautiful looking painting this is and one clever artist too.
