Aside from being a group of like-minded artists in various media, I like to think of us as a community of individuals who have each other's best interests at heart. Our Swedish friend, SEFA (Susanne), is currently being challenged with some severe health issues. Tig and I have both submitted images for her, rather like get-well cards, and I invite any of you who know her and her work to do the same. The understanding that people you've never met care about how you feel can have a strong, holistic healing effect. I'm a six-year cancer survivor and I know full well how effective something like this can be. You don't have to, I'm not trying to guilt you into doing it, but sometimes it's nice to have a focus other than a contest and heart-warming to do something nice for someone else. Just a thought.

What a wonderful idea you and Sandi have Nik. I looked through her gallery and see she likes lakes, I will be happy to post a picture for her sending along my best wishes and positive thoughts.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
We're doing great, folks. Unless I missed some that don't have Susanne's name in the title, I count nine submissions so far for her. Keep 'em coming and thank you.

For anyone wanting to submit a get-well image for Susanne, here's an idea; some of them include her name in the title and some don't. To make it easier for her to see them all (and I think there's well over a dozen so far) we can make sure they show up in the "Your Community" link (under Navigation) in the column you see on the left side of your window. After you submit your image, go back to it by using the "edit" button under the image, the far left button. Below the post text you wrote you'll see Gallery and a Tags[?] box. In the tags box write: getwellsusanne and then click the "edit" button at the bottom of the window. When Susanne, you, or anyone wishes to see all the images submitted for her, use this url: http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Tags&action=about and it will bring up the "About Image Tagging" dialog box. In the slot for "Tag name:" write: getwellsusanne and then click the "View Tag Gallery" button and you will see all the images submitted for Susanne. For those of you who have already submitted an image for her you can still edit your image to include the tag. Thanks for your participation.
