These icicles reminded me of some grotesque fingers, even though there are seven of them-but then there are two hands. They were hanging from my back porch and were starting to thaw. It was difficult to get in a proper position without getting wet. I heard someone say as they were driving by, "look at that drip on the porch." Hopefully they were talking about the icicles. On some, the blue of the sky was visible through the drop.

LOL, as always a most entertaining and humorous intro...so from one drip to another, great shot, especially given the awkward angle and rich blue sky as a backdrop.

A classic winter shot with a little dab of the grotesque thrown in for good measure! Not an easy capture done very well.

For some reason I'm reminded of cow teats dripping with milk, betcha didn't think of that Tic! The icicles make me feel cold but look great against the blue sky and the falling water droplets are a special touch.

Tick - Water droplets caught in midair - very cool. Yes, the passersby were definitely referring to the icicles! ;-)

Great idea! The resolution really makes your shot. Way to go outside in the cold and be creative. I hope your shot inspires others.

I can guess what the drip would be!..☺....

Pretty clear against the bright lighting!..and you even captured a couple of wee drips (or Drops) too!

Fingers of an icy monster - nice capture Tick. Let the passerby say what they want as long as the drip doesn't trip and drop!

See that the 'terrible snow man' is melting Tick, or was it just his sweat? lol.

The fingers are pretty cool...or should I say cold? I don't think I want them scratching my back, though. You did a good job getting this shot without getting moisture in the camera...I hope! Excellent work, Tick.
