Although these snow shoes are horseshoe shaped, they work well for getting around in the snow. These horses are looking for something to eat (besides snow) after the most recent storm in my part of the world. I particularly liked how the one of the right was digging in the snow.

Note *

I would like to thank Thad and Tigz for pointing out the sensor spots on the sky. I could fix it and repost it; but I think I will leave it as, so you won't have to comment again. Also it might help remind someone to look their photos over closely before posting.

They're beautiful horses Tick - that guy on the right knows that digging will eventually turn up some grass - Great Capture!!!!!!!!

Wonderful shot Tick and I'd say from their coats and hooves they are well equipped for the snow.

A great find; excellent control of lighting for this capture with the sunlit snow. Just a note - there are some sensor spots in the sky that could be cloned out.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I agree with Tad about the difficult lighting. The result however is very good. An amazing wint'ry image. Hope that the horses are capable to find any food.

Nice one..I know over here Grass thrives under snow, making it soft, so horses (and other animals) know what they are doing!...

We have been promised (and threatened) with snow..But our area has had nothing so far!...

Stay safe.

They are beautiful, and look to be in good condition, of course I'm a horse lover like Pat. You handled all of the white very well, and I do see some sensor spots at the top. tigz=^..^=

It is a fine capture. I cant help wishing the horses had coats on although they look content.
Love it !
