It's really not a Wagon Wheel, it's a water wheel. I like the song Wagon Wheel so much, I thought it's round and turns, so why not use it for SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES. So I did.
Bob Dylan wrote the chorus in 1973 when he was working on the movie Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid. Ketch Secor wrote lyrics for the song years later and the rest is history. You can read about it here.
The Water Wheel is on the building pictured in this previous post. I particularly like the textures of the rocks.

Whether for wagons or water this one turns me on:)...wonderful subject matter, textures, and slight hdr quality...I saw that movie and was always a fan of Dylan's song writing...not so much his singing:)...terrific entry for this weeks' SNATM...many thanks, Tick!

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I knew only the Old Crow Medicine Show's version. But the by Darius Rucker's in 2013 covered version is a very good one as well. I enjoy the music video very much.
